RECOGNISE is the people's movement to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Australian Constitution and ensure there's no place in it for racial discrimination.Our role has a very specific focus. It is to raise awareness of the need to end the exclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples from the Australian Constitution and deal with racial discrimination in it.A quarter of a million Australians from all walks of life have already declared their support to recognise the first Australians in our founding document and to fix the racial discrimination that still exists in it today.We want to see fairness and respect at the heart of our Constitution, and to ensure racial discrimination has no place in it. Our goal is a more united nation. This is a chance for Australia to acknowledge the first chapter of our national story, and to forge our future together.RECOGNISE is a part of Reconciliation Australia, and we are governed by the Board of Reconciliation Australia.
