Reconsider is supporting the emergence of transformational medicines to address the underlying causes of today's most critical societal and mental health challenges.Humanity is strugglingHumanity in the 21st century faces an existential crisis. Societal conflict and ecological catastrophe echo our own individual struggles: depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, and suicide are at unprecedented levels, across all demographics. Directly or indirectly, we are all impacted by our mental health crisis, yet the remedies available have been largely ineffective. Until now.We have proven solutionsThe potential for psychedelics as medicine has been recognized across many cultures for thousands of years. Modern medicine is just now confirming their potential. Clinical research at leading institutions shows extremely promising results in treating many of today's most challenging diagnoses. Resources are pouring in to support new facilities and research at an expanding array of top universities, including Johns Hopkins, NYU, Yale, Harvard and many others as the emergence of these medicines is extremely promising. Yet little attention or resources have been given to the need to examine how to introduce these medicines into global communities. The Reconsider approachOur core team and advisory board includes leading experts from Yale, Johns Hopkins, NYU, CIIS, MAPS, as well as experts in complementary modalities, food, music, and more. We are creating a space in which transformative models of healing with psychedelics can be developed and tested. It all starts with a conversation among people from diverse fields and backgrounds - to examine current systems, explore evolving solutions, and reshape the future of mental health.Raising Awareness:We are focused on shifting awareness, attitudes and consciousness towards these medicines through educational programs as well as impactful media.
