Recordly is an interviewing and transcription tool for journalists that uses a smartwatch as a remote control for tracking and highlighting audio recorded on the smartphone. It harnesses the power of IBM's Watson artificial intelligence platform to provide real-time speech-to-text transcriptions for reporters in the field at a fraction of the cost of commercial services. It also allows the newsroom and the reporters to maintain a constant and efficient interaction, by making the speech-to-text transcriptions available for editing and sharing right away with editors. Recordly's goal is to provide journalists with a tool that will allow them to not only produce content easier but help them retain a high level of accuracy even when competing against social media, a fast way of spreading information often unverified, that becomes more and more popular mainly because of speed and real-time broadcast.
