Recycled Energy and Power, Incorporated is a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business Enterprise that is currently pursuing multiple opportunities to market, deploy and operate Pyrolysis Systems, focusing on the disposal of municipal solid waste, tires, mixed plastics and biomass. The Pyrolysis System takes in municipal solid waste or other feedstock and, through an ultra-low emissions process utilizing high heat in the absence of oxygen, creates a synthetic gas that is used to generate electricity or can be refined to be used as BioFuel. In comparison to a conventional waste-to-energy plants, which work through a mass-burn incineration process that can convert one ton of municipal solid waste to about 550 kilowatt-hours of electricity, the Pyrolysis System can generate 1,000 kilowatt-hours from one ton of waste, making it a much more efficient and cleaner way to convert waste to energy. The system is scalable and can be engineered to take in as much feedstock as supply allows. By diverting the current waste stream, the Pyrolysis System can greatly extend the life of existing landfills and offers a viable alternative that can generate green power for a community. In addition, unlike solar or wind, the power from the Pyrolysis System is generated 24 hours a day, creating an alternative energy source without the need for additional battery installations or other backup power sources, while upcycling waste that is currently being landfilled.
