Recycling Zychal specializes in the rescue and repurpose of broken umbrellas and transforms them into functional and stylish softgoods products. It is a very unique company and unlike any other green design business out there because the inventory is completely random and unpredictable, as the umbrellas are "rescued" and donated by not just the customers but the design staff and volunteers at RZ as well. They call themselves "Umbrella Rescuers", because they rescue them from the landfill.Recycling Zychal was officially launched Earth Day, April 22nd of 2009, but was started about 4 years ago in eco conscious product designer and founder, Taryn Zychal's Philadelphia studio. Since then, the company has expanded greatly, has even made dog coats for craft queen, Martha Stewart and now offers a variety of different Upcycled Umbrella products including, but not limited to custom made/fitted dog coats, modern day babushka's called HOODS, organic cat nip filled kitty toys, dog beds, kitchen aprons, baby bibs and more!Recycling Zychal donates a portion of its profits to animal helping organizations and does umbrella donation drives to clean up the streets after storms.For more information, or to donate your broken umbrella to be recycled, please visit our storefront on etsy.www.recyclingzychal.etsy.com
