Red Bear's journey started off with two Kentucky natives Andrew and Kari Duncan who decided to pursue their dreams several years ago when they realized they had a special talent for woodworking. Red Bear has now expanded to include a retail storefront that houses an on-site custom wood shop. You can also shop for amazing hand-crafted and up-cycled unique gifts by many local and abroad artists in the good old U.S.A. On Saturday and Sunday the shop transforms into a DIY classroom. Red Bear continues to add and host events with special guests or live music making ourselves a Cincinnati Tri-state attraction and destination. Nestled in New Trenton, IN on US-52; over 1 million cars pass our historical Franklin County, IN building per year. Red Bear isn't just a job; it is a passion that is rapidly growing. Red-Bear's custom eye can create hand-crafted, unique pieces from reclaimed lumber that's been recycled from local mills or agricultural barns/structures that are no longer in use. Our talents are not limited to just working with reclaimed lumber. We work with traditional lumber and love to up-cycle from estate sales and picking as well. When designing a piece for clients, we customize it to fit your needs exactly with consistent communication from start to finish; in order to achieve the desired results. We take pride in watching our clients' eyes light up after seeing their custom masterpiece that you cannot find anywhere else. Our mission is to stay true to ourselves based on uniqueness, quality, and honest customer satisfaction. Did we mention family and friendship come first? History, lumber, design, and care are all factors that we disclose as we strive to reclaim, reuse, and recycle throughout the process. Our quality craftsmanship and custom style has attracted clients from all over the country. You will not be disappointed by choosing a piece with us. If you can dream it…we can build it.
