Redeal.me is a new way for students to beat exorbitant prices on textbooks and video games. Many students, including at our university, work hard to cover the costs of higher education. Our venture is a new and relevant way for them to cover these costs. The concept is a novel Facebook application that provides a local marketplace for students to buy and sell goods among friends and other students in the university's Facebook network. By integrating geocentric social networks into an online marketplace, users meet each other to exchange the good for cash. The buyer receives the item immediately without a resale markup or a shipping delay and the seller receives more cash for their item. Since both parties are part of the same social network, buyers know the seller beforehand and can choose to buy from friends they trust.
