Wines from home . "Nuestra historia" Back in 1920 our great grandfather planted and cultivated vines the Ribera del Duero region. It has been a family tradition to elaborate wine. When we moved to Bristol, where we relocated in 2010, we missed the Ribera del Duero wine. We missed it so much that we decided to create REDRibera to import these treasures and share them with you. The Origin. "El Zarcillo: Origen, tierra y clima" The Duero valley was formed during the Miocene period. The climate in the area is continental and Mediterranean. The moderate rainfall and extreme climatic conditions with long dry summers followed by hard winters are the most favorable conditions for the ripening of the Tempranillo grape variety. The grape variety : "La Uva ,100%Tempranillo" Tempranillo is a variety of black grape grown to make full-bodied red wines in its native Spain. The Tempranillo grape is a deep coloured variety which offers tasting notes ranging from strawberries, blackcurrants and cherries to prunes, chocolate and tobacco. The Process: "El Roble, el silencio" REDRibera has chosen to import exclusively wines produced by family owned wineries. After the manual selection and harvest the wine ages in French and American oak casks where the wine ages and gains it´s subtle flavours and aromas. Wines produced in accordance with the Regulations of the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin undergo specific testing and meet the required D.O Ribera del Duero standards.
