Larry Reed and Cinda Gilliland started Reed Gilliland Landscape Architects in July 2016, after more than 20 years each at SWA Group. We are looking forward to reconnecting with a more engaged, hands-on practice, and to exploring ways to simplify and clarify our design process. Part of the appeal is fostering a more intimate relationship with our projects and our clients. We also hope to focus more of our practice locally, particularly in Sonoma County.We are currently working on a variety of projects, ranging from a wildcare facility west of Saratoga, to affordable housing in Stockton, to gardens for private clients in Bennett Valley and Glen Ellen. Our project experience includes parks, campuses, wineries, and estates. We thrive on seeing projects through to successful completion. Our goal for every project is to maintain design integrity in the face of the many challenges and realities that the process throws our way. At the same time we try to keep our senses attuned to the unexpected opportunities that are often hidden in plain sight.
