In July of 2018 I was diagnosed with lymphoma and went through a course of chemotherapy. Building on my experience with process reengineering and managing technology, I am focusing my professional activities on helping people with a cancer diagnosis choose the best options for their treatment, especially by developing shoppers' guides to online services. I seek to accelerate two big themes: personalization (gathering lots of data about each individual and customizing unique treatments) and self-care (empowering individuals to take an active role in their treatment). I want to make people aware of innovative startups that are providing services directly to patients and caregivers as I believe that the disruption we need in healthcare will be driven by industry outsiders.I'm interested in hearing from you if you know stories of people who have stepped up to lead their cancer treatment, and of startups that are making services available to people to manage their treatment.
