Regenamend is an inexpensive 3D printed bioabsorbable wound matrix that maintains and supports a healthy environment for wound management using human fibroblasts. The gel matrix that houses these cells provides a framework for adjacent cells to migrate into, thereby closing the wound. It is used to facilitate the healing of diabetic foot ulcers that are otherwise unresponsive to traditional wound therapies. Regenamend would be marketed as a point-of-care solution, allowing healthcare providers to offer more convenient and immediate treatment for ulcers.
