Welcome to the Rehabilitation Medicine and Acupuncture Center. At our clinic you will experience treatments combining modern Western medicine with conventional Eastern methods. We have a state-of-the-art clinic where we integrate the latest technologies of American medicine with the philosophies of traditional Chinese herbology and acupuncture to provide natural, non-surgical, pain free and individualized patient care.What makes us unique?Our policy is to use a two-step treatment plan. First we make a clear diagnosis:utilizing both Western and Eastern modalities; we may use western technologysuch as MRI, CT scan, X-ray and electromyologram (EMG) in conjunction withtraditional eastern techniques, such as pulse and tongue evaluation. Inaddition, many of these tests can be performed right in our office.Then, together with the patient, we plan the best course of treatment. Treatmentoptions include: Acupuncture, physical therapy, Chinese herbs, and westernmedications.Acupuncture is performed on various parts of the body including back, ear, andskull. Electrical acupuncture, cupping, acupressure, and other techniques areused as supplements.Our physical therapy program includes onsite physician supervision, electricalstimulation, ultrasound, electrophoresis, TENS, heat/cryotherapy, and variousrehabilitative exercises.Chinese herbs are used for a number of different reasons, including but notlimited to, detoxification and amelioration and treatment of symptoms. For yourconvenience, the herbs can be directly purchased from the clinic.If western medication is necessary it will be prescribed for by Dr. Jun Xu.
