Reid+Reid Gin's are distilled in a craft distillery located in the heart of Martinborough, New Zealand. The distillery was founded in 2015 by brothers Stew and Chris Reid. The brothers mission is to produce a world class, unique, New Zealand gins, distilled with native botanicals, that challenges the perception of "classic" gins while promoting New Zealand's unique natural flora.Reid+Reid Gin's are uniquely Kiwi, in that it is produced with three native New Zealand botanicals: Kawakawa, Horopito, and Manuka. Kawakawa is a relative of black pepper and a complex botanical, bringing savoury, spicy and floral characters to the gin, while horopito shares white pepper characteristics. Manuka is the most commonly known of the native botanicals used and brings floral hints, along with a gingery warmth.Reid+Reid Gin's are developed and produced by Reid+Reid's head distiller Chris Reid. Traditionally a wine maker, the concept of a producing a product with a ‘sense of place' is ingrained in his outlook.
