The Reiki Touch (R) Institute of Holistic Medicine has an innovative approach to teaching and administering Reiki. It is called "NU-REIKI". "NU-REIKI" incorporates all lineage information and symbols to support and provide understanding and "Oneness" in the Reiki communities. Reiki Master Julia Carroll was the 1st Reiki Master in the state of Texas, has traveled the globe many times to teach this gentle healing art. She has trained over 20,000 students in 29 years. Her books on Reiki have been on the shelves for over 20 years - writing the first book, Reiki Touch: A Reiki Handbook in 1988, followed by Reiki Touch: The Essential Handbook in 1995 and Reiki Touch Twentieth Anniversary Edition in 2008.
