Throughout our cities, there are structural elements and resources that have fulfilled the life-cycle of their original design and now sit unused –abandoned or decommissioned remnants of the past.The mission of Reimagine Repurpose is to create design solutions for abandoned or decommissioned entities with no residential or retail potential. The foundation of our design proposals are areas of socialand economic opportunity existing in the community surrounding a site. The design concepts pursued by Reimagine Repurpose capitalize on those solutions that provide the greatest social and economic impact while maximizing the potential of an existing structure. Finally, Reimagine Repurpose connects potential stakeholders to the project; these individuals or groups directly benefit from the pursuit of the project and their involvement is essential to creating a sustainable structure with multiple avenues of value creation for the community. Finally, Reimagine Repurpose seeks to invigorate communities by recreating structural entities into mechanisms that create sustainable social and economic value that lasts for generations.
