Reinh. van Hauen is nothing like a regular bakery. In four generations, and more than 144 years, Reinh. van Hauen have delivered quality baked goods to the Copenhageners, and is now operated by father and son - Knud and Klavs van Hauen. The products are handmade only using the best ingredients from all over the world. For an example did Reinh. van Hauen start with organic bread long before it became modern, and has never compromised on the care and love of the craft. Regardless the product the company is always using all the necessary time to assure high quality and to obtain the best taste experience in each and every products. Therefore, no additives or substitutes are used as a replacement for the genuine ingredients, which through their characteristic flavor add sublime quality to the bakery. For example, we use real butter for our scones and cinnamon buns, we make the cream with real heavy cream and real vanilla, and the rye bread is baked with a sourdough that has followed the family for several generations. The Durum flour comes from Italy and the chocolate is 64% gourmet chocolate.
