1. REIS will educate you.At our monthly meetings, we will provide knowledgeable guest speakers who will cover a wide variety of topics you may not even know you need to know! Purchasing real estate as an investment is a business. You need to know how to evaluate potential business opportunities before you commit. Such areas as finance, taxation, environmental hazards, and legal obstacles are subjects that will be covered. You won't want to miss a single meeting.2. REIS as a referral service.Our Business Members must be approved for membership and continued membership. We will have a code of ethics and a means to remove Business Members who do not consistently deliver professional grade service. You will be able to consider REIS Business Membership one means of evaluating service providers before you contract.3. REIS as a resource.Members can ask questions of other Investor Members or Business Members regarding specific issues which may arise in their transactions and get advice from others who may have experienced a similar setback. 4. REIS will bring you opportunities.Often, our members come across opportunities which may not fit their business model. Members can bring these deals to the group for participation or simply to refer them to others who may be interested. REIS also includes Realtors who specialize in investment and/or commercial real estate. Tap into the resource these agents provide for finding the properties you want to invest in.5. REIS as a networking organization.Learn from each other's successes and failures. Time will be set aside for the Investor Exchange–a few minutes when you can ask the advice of your peers and the experts in the field. At REIS, we are not competitors; we are partners in one another's success.
