We need a Web that is open to everyone, but controlled by no one.Remaker Foundation is dedicated to promoting a technically sound, economically relevant and socially responsible vision for the decentralization of the World Wide Web. We challenge media hype, investor uncertainty and misplaced enthusiasm in order to bring more focus to meaningful, important projects and initiatives.We support open-source software development projects that allow anyone to earn income by adding compute, storage and network resources to the public networks that provide basic Web services to anyone who wants to use them, no permission required.We are technologists and software developers with a shared vision for the architecture and implementation of foundational services, from a Web-native unit of account and payments system to decentralized identity, messaging, presence, location, digital asset ownership and beyond.We believe that the Internet has become essential to the future of humanity and that the best solutions to the problems of escalating costs of unequal access, censorship, security, privacy, fraud, reliability and inefficiency cannot be solved by any single company or organization because these problems are the direct consequence of centralization.
