We're Remote Helpr. A socially-minded virtual assistant company that connects entrepreneurs with English-speaking remote professionals - that we call Helprs.We focus on taking on tasks like video-editing, copywriting, managing social media accounts, funnel building, data entry, or simply learning and implementing a business process - which frees up the entrepreneur's time in order to scale.I dove into this venture by accident, when I started working with a virtual assistant from Venezuela, Carlos. Back then he was helping me develop a website for a client, I never thought it would take me down an entirely different path. Around the same time, I began working with a social media marketer from Kenya, Elijah, to execute our marketing strategy. When we finished the job, I bonused out both workers. I didn't give it much thought, to me all I'd done was outsource some work at my convenience. I still remember it was a Tuesday evening. I was on my way back from work, just 2 minutes away from home, and instead of going inside, I stayed on the phone with Carlos……for an hour and a half.Carlos, a college-educated kid, let me know how his funds would help support both him and his mom. He told me about his struggles growing up in Venezuela. It hit me for the first time how a person from outside of my country with quality skills would still have such a struggle to cover just their basic needs.It really dawned on me when Elijah sent over a text to let me know that the "small" bonus would pay for 2 weeks' worth of groceries for him and his family - this couldn't be a one-off occurrence. So began the story of Remote Helpr, because as nice of the story of the lone wolf is, it's not always a reality.
