"Buck the Funnel" is our organizational mantra… We're launching with just one product, but our vision is to develop entire classes of cost effective products that move our customers off the sustainability funnel. Our organization is as unique as our launch product - the River Electrical Energy Device (REED). We understand that if you want to do something worth talking about, you begin by listening. REEDs were born when our founder listened to stories of the frustrated attempts of a small community to secure hydropower from their adjacent, highly energetic river. With that much flow, was there really no way to economically harvest just a little of the energy while retaining their personal enjoyment of the river (and economic benefits of their river tourism industry)? And as it turns out, they were not alone, and REEDs were born. The trick is to rethink the goal - instead of optimizing to peak power extraction, REEDs have been optimized to peak compatibility with the end-user concerns. And so, while many businesses focus on how to sell their product, we have tailored REEDs to be owned. And we adopt exactly the same philosophy in our budding organizational culture.
