‘' Renewable Energy Producers' Association'' Union of Legal Entities was founded on October 2016.The Association operates in the Republic of Armenia, cooperates and implements joint projects with EU, Eastern Europe, CIS, Gulf countries and with South African countries. Association is a member of international specialized networks, actively participates in international symposiums and exhibitions. In this sense, the Association acts as a research and information center for its members. The founders of Association primarily emphasizes the importance of protection of the interests and regulation of issues concerning members of Association accordance with the law.‘'Renewable Energy Producers' Association'' is a permanent connection and dialogue on a sustainable basis between The Government and private sector of the Republic of Armenia. In case of long-term programs the Association is being considered as a connection between international financial institutions, Government of RA and private sector, as well as with donor companies, Government of RA and Private Sector. Our goal is the foundation of sustainable and mutually beneficial cooperation between the parties.Association activities are aimed to develop and make more systematic and transparent bellow mentioned sectors .Energy Security,Sustainable development of clean energy,Creation of more favorable conditions for investment in the energy sectorAttracting investments,Protection of interests of investors of this field,Legislative regulation and taxation,Regulation of Environmental issues,Implementation of measures in SHPP for improving productivity and financial-economic picture.Effective management of natural capital, application of control mechanisms. particularly important in distribution and control of irrigation systems.Recuperation of Renewable Energy fields.Application of mechanisms aimed to change the negative moral image of entrepreneursImproving professional skills of our Stakeholders' staff use modern approach of teamwork .Neutralization of spreading publicity material which are illiterate and baseless, which are related to this sector.The creation of Association laid the foundations of mechanism which identificates demand and issues which are unsolved and accumulated over the years, makes discussions and make solution package proposal.We value natural capital and highlights the problem of balancing economic and environmental problems. Only in this way and by cooperation is possible to solve accumulated problems concerning investors.It is known that electricity generated by renewable energy makes up more than 30% of the electricity produced in Armenia, more than 13 % of which is being produced by SHPP. According to Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia as of 1st January 2017 in Armenia there were constructed 177 SHPPs with total installed production capacity of 328.2 Mwt per hour and with total electricity production capacity of 880.4 million Kwt per year.
