replace is an architecture and urbanism practice with an approach to address urgent issues through imaginative thinking. We use design as a tool to advance social agendas within the built environment to create equitable and livable places. Working globally across scales, we anchor our work at the intersection of place, temporality, identity and experience to create dynamic spaces. We address questions of emerging typologies as a response to changing social and economic conditions. Reading the city as a place in constant flux, we focus on adaptive urbanism to reuse and adapt buildings to create resilient communities and respond to circularity as a design approach. Our aim is to prototype new kinds of practice environments that allows combining conceptual creativity and innovation with critical thinking and societal responsibility.
