Represented Foundation is a New York-based nonprofit that exists to completely eradicate the diversity deficit in social impact leadership. Right now two-thirds of leading nonprofit organizations are run by White men. In a sector that focuses on uplifting underserved communities, this is a detrimental problem. Via our social impact incubator for Black and Latinx social entrepreneurs and short-term engagement contracts we surround leaders of color with right the support systems, educational training and practical tools they need to thrive in the social impact field. Together with our diverse network of volunteer instructors, mentors and supporters we are committed to achieving parity for leaders of color in the social impact field. Today only 15% of social impact leaders are people of color. By the year 2045, when 50% of the US will be comprised of people of color, we want 50% of social impact leaders to reflect these same demographics.
