RescueNYC was founded to increase the number of lives saved through rescue in NYC. Our services will include adoption/administrative support, services for pet surrenders, and resources for Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), all offered in a dedicated community space. RescueNYC's programs will allow the rescue organizations of NYC to focus on what they do best - saving animals in need.OUR MISSION: To empower NYC's rescue community with targeted adoption support, services to defer or facilitate pet surrenders, and resources for community cat caretakers preforming Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), in a collaborative effort to save more lives throughout the city. CORE OBJECTIVES:Increase number of adoptions throughout NYCIncrease resources for Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) of Community CatsDecrease the number of pets being surrendered by their owners to the city shelterCreate a model for community-based rescue support that can be replicated in other citiesWe are in the beginning stages of creating NYC's first Community Center for animal rescue. Our plan is a two phase process, and we hope that you will support us along the way!
