Resorcix Ltd. was established in 2017and has established its lab in the prestigious Jerusalem Bio Park building. The company started conducting experiments after a major funding investment from private capital of Dr. Yehoshua Maor, founder and CEO.Resorcix research project explores a novel natural-based anti-spore forming bacteria agent for the use in the natural beverages industry, aiming at expanding to the general food market. The company collaborates with the Hebrew University's facility for additional lab equipment. Resorcix has a vibrant team of young researchers led by Dr Yehoshua Maor, PhD in medicinal chemistry. Lior Sinai, Ph.D. in microbiology and molecular genetics at the Hebrew University and has studied bacterial spores for over 7 years. Dr. Sinai was awarded the 2015 Prof. Nili Rubinowitz-Grossman Prize for outstanding young scientists by the Israel Society for Microbiology.Hanna Hamou-Cohen has joined the team with a master degree in Organic Chemistry at École Nationale Supérieure des Industries Chimiques (ENSIC), Nancy, France and considerable experience in industrialization projects of targeted compounds.The raw plant material used in Resorcix project, is already listed in the EAFUS (Everything Added to Food in the US) list, a regulatory asset which represents a tremendous advantage for market penetration once the research and intellectual property issues have been completed. Resorcix aims at penetrating the market, especially in the US, the leading world market for fruit beverage and reaching its share in this 12 billion USD market.
