ULTRASONIC SCANNER | CMM Resource Engineering specializes in the engineering, manufacturing, assembly, testing, installation and sustaining of precision multi-axis positioning systems used in the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Metrology (CMM) industries. This extensive experience has culminated in the development of the most advanced Ultrasonic Scanning Systems and Coordinate Measuring Machines in the world today. To date, we are the only company to successfully exploit the enormous benefits of large-scale use of Invar (exotic steel alloy with near zero coefficient of thermal expansion) in high accuracy positioning machine structures, bringing new levels of accuracy to the shop floor. In 1996 REI developed the first Alumina Ceramic search Tubes for use in Ultrasonic Immersion Systems, a vast improvement over conventional Stainless steel designs. Many other advances in machine design, guideway technology, air bearings and control systems have also been developed at REI. Our patented CARBINVAR, #6,202,316, (Carbon fiber and Invar) composite guideway structures have revolutionized High Accuracy Coordinate Measuring Machines and other precision mechanical positioning systems.
