Restech Norway AS, established in 1989, is the inventor and manufacturer of the Pneumatic Line Thrower PLT®. Our main business is to provide maritime and land based activities with a safe and accurate air driven launcher. Our main market is in maritime operations where we deliver to operators in offshore, research, rescue, cruise, tanker, terminals, coast guard, navy and special forces. Our products are well known and recognized all over the world among users because of its reliability, simplicity and efficiency. The PLT® is a multipurpose line thrower system that provides user with a wide variety of high precision projectiles. The PLT® system does not use any form of explosives and has no expiry date. All our parts are re-usable and therefor ideal for daily operations and training. Our products: PLT® Launching Unit - Has a variety of projectiles for various types of operations at sea and on land. PLT® Rescue 230 - Our SOLAS unit complying with SOLAS 74 requirements, Line Throwing Appliances. PLT® Mini - This is a lightweight PLT® and it has a variety of projectiles for operations at sea and on land. PLT® Flare Igniter - Used on oil rigs to ignite the flare when necessary. ARTS PLT® Whale Tagger - Used by scientists for tagging and taking samples from whales and other sea animals. PLT® Remotely Operated Line Thrower - A remotely operated line thrower used in emergency towing operations. Quality & Certification Restech Norway AS follows the Quality Management System Standard ISO 9001:2008 for all of our development, production and sale of our PLT® systems. Notifying body is DNV. The PLT® Rescue 230 holds: - Type Approval Certificate LB-427 and is approved for use as Line Throwing Appliances onboard ships. - EC Type-Examination Certificate MED-B-6519 - USCG Approval 160.040/EC0575/6519 - Quality Assurance System MED-D-1184
