National advocacy campaign to restore the Hetch Hetchy Valley in Yosemite National Park. After a protracted national debate, Congress voted in 1913 to allow the City of San Francisco to build a dam and flood the Hetch Hetchy Valley in Yosemite National Park. One of only four glacial valley's in the United States, this twin of Yosemite Valley currently lies beneath 300 feet of water. The goal of our campaign is to move the reservoir and restore the valley to its original splendor without interrupting the flow of water to the City of San Francisco.
