'Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.' \\ This saying is the basis for Restoring Haiti. As a nonprofit corporation, all efforts and resources will be utilized for the Haitian people. In addition to providing for their basic needs, like so many other nonprofit groups, we also focus on 'teaching man to fish' as well. \The beaches of Haiti are unrivaled in the Carribean. The waters are warm and teaming with life. Providing vacationers with a beautiful, all-inclusive, beachfront resort is only the start of rejuvenating the local economy. Pride will return. The local economy will thrive to maintain the resort functions. Jobs will be created. Restoring Haiti will provide sustenance grants initially to the poorest of the poor. To the orphans and widows who need special care. Job training and education will grow through the partnership of other organizations focused in these areas. Medical clinics and hospitals will be supported as well through government grants and direct donations. The growing beachfront tourist trade will be the catalyst to aide local church support; the backbone of rural Haiti. The church growth will maintain accountability and networking to the region. The Jewel of the Carribean will once again shine!
