ResumeCards is a company run by students and targeted to students, alumni, and to the professional community. Through a few years of experience attending conferences, networking events and studying in a co-op program, two University of Waterloo students saw the need for distinguishing network tools. Prem Kalevar and J-S Rancourt wanted to help students share their skills, talents and experiences in everyday encounters, and help them create opportunities. The idea received positive feedback from many large corporation recruiters and from many Waterloo professors, mentors and administration. Rancourt and Kalevar then grew the ResumeCards team to 8 members, and approached high University of Waterloo administrators to discuss making Waterloo ResumeCards. As partners to the University, ResumeCards now prints its cards through UW graphics, and delivers the cards through student campus representatives. The ResumeCards team plans to partner with many Universities across Canada to provide all students with ResumeCards branded with their University. ResumeCards wants to become a household name when it comes to University business cards in Canada.
