Retap has its aim in reshaping the water consumption by providing a clean, eco-friendly and cost efficient alternative to bottled water without loosing focus on the Scandinavian design tradition. A healthy lifestyle requires one to drink at least two liters of water a day. It is Retap's mission to transform the way we drink water by reducing the use of plastic bottled water. Plastic bottles are harmful for the environment and for the personal health because they can release bacteria and endocrine disrupting substances into the water. This is why the Retap Bottle is made from borosilicate glass which is a lightweight, strong and sustainable material. Scandinavian design is known as being simple and functional and in 2011 Retap won the "Red dot design award" and the "Promotional Gift Award". In 2012 this was followed up by the "Good Design Award"
