ABOUT Overview & Mission Reticle is a transnational human rights organization that is specialized in the defence of digital rights in cyberspace. Our primary focus lies in defending exploited users by providing a digital toolkit which has been tailored to help everyone from activists to journalists stave off cyber-targeting at the hands of rogue governments, non-state actors, cybercriminals and other nefarious entities. Our core mission is to protect those who use the internet to relay important information to the world. Many of the individuals and organizations that we support are under constant threat of attack due to their efforts in exposing key information pertaining to corruption, criminality, government action and repression, and general lawlessness found in hotspots around the world. We frequently conduct research in collaboration with some of England's most prominent academics and think tanks to uncover the most advanced cyberattack methodologies before working towards developing methodologies of our own to mitigate them. A never-ending game of catand-mouse, research and development remains a crucial part of our work and places us in the best position possible to defend and protect the vulnerable users who reach out to us. Reticle also runs awareness campaigns and lobbies decision-makers in matters concerning digital rights in cyberspace. We constantly ally ourselves with similar organizations that are fighting towards a more decentralized, free, and neutral internet that can be accessed by all as was originally intended. We fulfill many of the typical functions common to international NGO's and human rights organizations and have advanced with the times to specialize in the realm of digital rights. For instance, we are committed to deploying robust defensive measures to activists and journalists who find themselves under targeted attack online for their non-conforming viewpoints and expressions. Widening the circle, we also act as a loud and impassioned voice for regular individuals who make online purchases or use online service, ticking lengthy terms and conditions without ultimately knowing what they're agreeing to and getting taking advantage of in the process. We are defenders of digital freedom, net neutrality, and transparency in all aspects cyberspace. Our vision is to limit the damage that can be meted out by government surveillance programs, cybercriminals that take advantage of the budding FinTech sector, and hackers that wish to harm individuals and organizations for any number of unjustified reasons.
