"(re)vision: Through These Eyes" Details
"(re)vision: Through These Eyes" is a completely Albanian production, written by Albanian authors using interviews with Albanian women and men and produced in Albanian language (later to be translated into English for international audiences). In both the theatrical piece and the documentary, we will combine several forms of technology to create a truly multimedia production. Through a collection of monologues and dialogues, the theater show will examine gender relations in Albania and how they are intimately intertwined with historical and societal processes effecting the lives of all Albanian people. The film will be a short documentary recording the development of the project itself along with the final production, all within the context of Albania and the Balkans. It will exponentially expand the reach of the production and act as a tool for other activists looking to use social theater as a lasting and impactful vehicle for change in the Balkans.
