Welcome to the School of Business at Rhode Island College. The College is located in historic Providence, a scenic city rich in cultural and recreational amenities, located on Narragansett Bay with easy access to beaches and the metropolitan areas of Boston and New York. The 180-acre suburban campus and state-of-the-art high-tech business school affords students superb educational opportunities. Currently over 1,300 students major in our undergraduate business programs.Business programs are grounded in a liberal arts education, and students build the knowledge and skills associated with their major upon a broad business core foundation. The programs are practical in nature and emphasize the application of theory. The understanding and use of technology is integrated throughout the curriculum, with special attention given to the development of communication and team skills as well as the cultivation of ethical and global perspectives. The highly skilled and credentialed faculty is devoted to innovative, interactive, contemporary teaching where student learning comes first. Classes are small, capping at 30 and averaging about 20 students; no classes are taught by teaching assistants. Each student has a faculty advisor, and no student is just a number.
