Established in 1991, the Rhode Island Parent Information Network (RIPIN) helps thousands of Rhode Islanders every year turn challenging situations into opportunities to advocate for themselves and their loved ones.RIPIN's mission is to assist individuals, parents, families, and children to achieve their goals for health, education, and socio-economic well-being by providing information, training, education, support and advocacy for person/family centered care and system change.RIPIN's programs and services are rooted in the peer-to-peer model of support, education and empowerment, where a RIPIN peer with personal experience assists others as a mentor, advocate, and motivator.RIPIN has certified 67 employees as Community Health Worker(CHW), representing over 75% of certified CHWs in the state.
