Libraries - Quakertown, Pennsylvania, United States
Richland Library Company was founded as a lending library in 1788. From its inception it was a subscription-based library, serving as the source of reading materials for many generations of area residents. Over the past two hundred years, the Richland Library Company has received many local historic artifacts, family trees, mementos, photographs, and other items. Today the Richland Library Company is no longer a lending library, but rather a respected research facility for preserving items of local history and culture, while maintaining these items to promote and facilitate genealogical and historical research.
