RTT is dedicated to helping people with disabilities reach their highest potential through the healing power of horses. At our Windham farm, we serve 250 individuals annually with the help a staff of 113, 100 of whom are volunteers and 13 who are paid staff members. We have a herd of 12 well trained horses who are wonderful partners in the work that we do. Riders range in age from 3 to 80+ and have a wide range of disabilities that include cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD, sensory processing disorder, multiple sclerosis, and more. RTT is the oldest therapeutic riding center in Maine and the largest center in Northern New England. We are a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) Premier Accredited Center and are the only NARHA Center in Maine that operates year-round and is solely dedicated to serving people with disabilities.
