Profile: Riffa Views International School (RVIS) is an International Schools Services (ISS) managed school located in a prestigious gated golf community in Bahrain. The school offers a standards-based curriculum in Nursery through Grade 11, with our final graduating year, Grade 12, beginning in 2015.The intention behind RVIS has always been to create the exceptional. The founding members of the Board of Trustees have and continue to view RVIS as the beacon of excellence for the educational sector in Bahrain. Our college preparatory program actively engages every student in academics, athletics and the fine arts. The latest in educational technology is at the fingertips of all students, at all times, in all classrooms. Our world class faculty provides individual, warm and caring attentions to each and every child. Our faculty is student centered, collegial and dynamic. We are searching for enthusiastic educational pioneers to join our team.The Faculty: The majority of our teachers possess either a U.S. or Canadian teaching certificate, and all have attained a Bachelors (44%), Masters (52%) or Doctorate degree (4%). The Director recruits overseas hire teachers at ISS, University of Iowa and Queen's University teacher recruiting fairs. We have 32 foreign-hire teachers, 4 administrators, 18 local-hire teachers, and 26 support/administrative staff (total 80 staff). Nationalities of our overseas hire faculty are American, Canadian, Australian, British and Chilean. Our local hire faculty is British, Bahraini, Jordanian, Saudi Arabian, Syrian, Tunisian, American and South African.
