For over 60 years, Rikett has successfully manufactured and sold over 2 Billion square feet of Quartz Tile worldwide. In 1952 Rieber & Sons and Tarkett, founded Rikett in Bergen, Norway to manufacture quartz flooring. Rikett Quartz Tile, (RQT), was invented as an alternative to homogeneous tiles using asbestos and carbonites, replace them with Quartz, an abundant natural mineral. Rikett Quartz Tile was, and still is, vastly superior in strength, flexibility and performance to all other composition floor tiles. Rikett's manufacturing facilities are ISO 9001, (Quality), ISO 14001, (Environmental) and ISO 18001, (Safety), certified. Riket makes fully sustainable flooring products which add value to a LEED Scorecard.
