Rodriguez, M.D., is a general surgeon and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He received specialized fellowship training in bariatric and laparoscopic surgery at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He has extensive experience in complex bariatric operations such as the duodenal switch procedure and all revisional operations.Dr. Rodriguez earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University. He then completed medical school and residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he trained with world-renowned faculty members in the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery. His research in the field of genomics, general surgery, and bariatric surgery has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals, and his work has earned him plenary seminar presentations at national conferences for the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the American Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.
