Rip Shears, LLC was formed by Trident Design Group, Inc. and Chris Smith, Inc. to design, produce, market, and distribute the Rip Shears device.Designed and tested by Navy SEALs to perform in the harshest environments, Rips Shears will drastically reduce the critical time required to access and treat wound sites under multiple layers of clothing, equipment, and body armor. Just snip and rip! The Ripper unit is 100% made in the USA and will bolt onto any set of standard 7 1/4" trauma shears. The user-replaceable blades, made from 440A surgical-grade stainless steel for durability and corrosion-resistance, receive a proprietary treatment to improve cutting ability and edge retention, making them last 8x longer than standard blades. Available either as the combat-ready Rip Shears (scissors imported) or as a retrofit (Ripper unit only).
