RISDA Polytechnic Institute is Established in the year 2000 as F. K. Polytechnic Institute. The Institute was purchased by RISDA-Bangladesh a national NGO in February 2017 and renamed as RISDA Polytechnic InstituteRISDA-Bangladesh (Resource Integration and Social Development Association in Bangladesh) is a national NGO, founded in 1993 with a mission to promote human rights and to devote for socio-economic development of the underprivileged, marginalized and hard-to-reach people. Since the inception, the organization has initiated and implemented various projects and programs successfully with the financial and technical support of different individuals, donors and governments.RISDA-Bangladesh is registered with The Department of Social Services (DSS), Registrar of Joint Stock Company and Firms and NGO Affairs Bureau of Bangladesh government. It also got license from Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA).RISDA-Bangladesh is presently implements projects in 30 districts through 120 branch offices with the technical and financial support of Infrastructure Development Company (IDCOL), Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited, Bangladesh Bank, Department of Women Affairs, Bangladesh NGO Foundation, Care Foundation, Turkiye Diyanet Foundation, Spreeha Foundation and individual donors.RISDA-Bangladesh has membership of Federation of NGOs in Bangladesh (FNB), Campaign for Popular Education (CAMPE), Credit Development Forum (CDF) and NGO Forum for Public Health.
