WE ARE A FAMILY-FOUNDED ANIMAL REFUGE WITH A LIFELONG DREAM OF HELPING ANIMALS.RISE Animal Refuge is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization that Rescue's Rehabilitates, and Re homes animals on the Panhandle by providing Spay/Neuter, health care, and love!We have been rescuing and rehoming animals for over 20 years, mostly on our own. However, it was 8 years ago when Yolanda realized that animals helped us heal and we did the same for them. As a recovered Drug addict, Sexual Abuse Survivor, and a Domestic Abuse Warrior, Yolanda had suffered from multiple mental health issues and trauma Buddy, pictured on the right, helped comfort her when she was feeling overwhelmed or low. He followed her and sat next to her for reassurance, laid his head on her lap, and let her know when a change was happening. He knew her mental health was taking a toll on her so he stepped in to save the day. Without this little rescue by her side, she wouldn't have been able to begin her journey. It was then that she vowed to help save as many animals as she could and to "pass it forward" to animals who needed the guidance to their healing process and help them with finding their perfect home.Animals have a sensitivity to us. They can feel when we are sad, angry, happy, overwhelmed and they help us without question.
