River House helps homeless individuals return to lives of self-sufficiency by providing temporary shelter, permanent housing, and the opportunity to work in partnership with our staff and the community to find stable income, adequate health care, and a permanent home. In 2012, the River House shelter program provided 172 homeless men with temporary shelter and case-management services to help them regain their independence. River House staff helped 52 guests find employment, 80 find housing, and 105 obtain needed health-care services. The River House congregate living program provides a supportive and affordable rental opportunity for five formerly homeless individuals.
