Since 1987 we have engaged in simultaneous efforts to address water quality concerns throughout the French Broad River basin, expand public opportunities for access and recreation, and spearhead the economic revitalization of the French Broad River and its watershed We work in the Western North Carolina Mountains, specifically in Transylvania, Henderson, Buncombe and Madison Counties. Some of our Programs include: Adopt-a-Stream Adopt-A-Greenway Wilma Dykeman RiverWay The French Broad River Paddle Trail Environmental Education (k-12) WaterRICH- Residential Stormwater BMP program Water Quality Projects: Stream restorations and stormwater BMPs Conservation Easements: Riparian and Steep slopes Summer River Camps Events: RiverMusic - Summer music series down by the French Broad River RIverFest- Second weekend in August each year
