For Ray Kobayashi, Big Island hardwoods are his passion. Ray even built his current residence using locally grown Koa, mango, eucalyptus, ohia, and sugi pine on the walls and ceilings. With an eye for design, Ray's imagination led to him creating his own line of specialty furniture, rocking chairs, cabinets, tables, and chairs. He also builds one of a kind hardwood urns and jewelry boxes. Ray's newest venture is RK Woods. You will find Ray at his woodworking and CNC machine shop in the Shipman Industrial area.
