Architecture Firm/Engineering Firm - Boca Raton, FL, US
RLC Architects provides superior architectural design and planning services for South Florida's leading developers and corporations, and is the recipient of numerous AIA and professional association awards.. Through the industry and economic ebbs and flows, the firm has remained steadfast in its uncompromised commitment to excellent design, impeccable client service, , community spirit and camaraderie. Almost all of the firm's commissions are derived from repeat clients and referrals. Founded in 1990 by Bruce W. Retzsch AIA, the firm expanded two years later with the addition of Luis A. Lanao AIA and Juan C. Caycedo AIA, the three partners having collaborated in two previous firms. The firm was jolted by the untimely passing of Mr. Lanao in June 2015, leaving the firm's senior leadership to the two surviving partners. Their roles clearly delineated with Bruce, the gringo, the pragmatic visionary overseeing the master planning and urban design area of the practice and serving as its managing principal. The firm's passion and legacy for design and its design direction is inspired by Juan Caycedo, a gifted and thoughtful architect who served on the City of Boca Raton's Community Appearance Board for 14 years before handing over the board's leadership reigns in 2016. In 2016, Bruce and Juan invited Mark Brodnick and Carlo Mendoza, two long time firm teammates to join them as Associates to continue the founders' vision into the future. Design is at the center of the RLC practice, but it is their respect and unified spirit for its team that distinguishes it as one of the region's most respected and honorable architectural firms. With grace, integrity and an indelible attitude, the RLC partners are dedicated to providing their staff with a nurturing and stimulating studio environment in which to evolve as architectural professionals. Over the years, the firm's partners have led by example encouraging the RLC studio to contribute countless hours of time, service and financial support to professional associations, non-profit organization and religious institutions throughout south Florida. Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, National MS Society and His House Children's Home are just a few of the organizations to benefit from RLC's support.
