She established the San Francisco Coffee Shop in Pretoria in 1993. After attending a Specialty Coffee Conference in California she decided to become a full-time coffee roaster. That was something foreign to most SA-coffee drinkers who were accustomed to instant powder coffee. She promptly imported a 13Kg Air Roaster and was the first person (in Gauteng) to roast beans in her coffee shop. Needless to say, the coffee shop converted many an instant-coffee-drinker to an artisan coffee connoisseur. Soon after opening, the San Francisco Coffee Shop was supplying freshly roasted coffee beans to businesses, restaurants and regular shop clients. She could not keep up. By 1999 Rose decided to dedicate herself, solely, to the roasting process. The San Francisco Coffee Shop, made way for Roastmasters Coffee Roastery, as we are still known today.The Roastmasters team currently consists of 9 dedicated coffee lovers. This includes the original two roast masters, Louisa Chezi and Charity Tshipo, who started with Rose in 1993.We continue to use 100% Arabica beans, roasted and blended to perfection. To ensure complete freshness, we roast every order on demand. We supply various entities of the food and beverage industry, including specialty coffee shops, hotels, retail outlets as well as corporate clients. Our turn- around time for delivery is approximately 24-hours, depending on volume. The roasting capacity of our factory is up to 5 tons per month. We roast, grind and package all the beans on our premises. We deliver nationwide.Roastmasters` mission is to deliver superior tasting coffee and unparalleled service, to each of our coffee devotees.
