Robert A. McFarland has been an attorney for over twenty seven years practicing in the areas of commercial and residential real estate, corporate, commercial transactions, domestic relations, guardianship, estates and trusts and litigation. Since January of 2002, he has developed a mediation practice in divorce, custody and marital property issues and in civil disputes generally in the same areas in which he practices law.Robert McFarland was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He received his BA degree in 1976 from Ursinus College in Pennsylvania and received his law degree in 1981 from the University of Baltimore School of Law.Along with his practice, Mr. McFarland has served on various boards, committees and panels over the years including the Baltimore County Orphans Court ADR Advisory Committee, the Board of Directors of Belmar Federal Savings and Loan Association, the Eastern Baltimore Area Chamber of Commerce (Legislative Affairs Committee), Metro Maryland Youth for Christ, the Christian Community Center (an urban ministry in West Baltimore) and the North Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce (Legislative Committee). He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Baltimore County Bar Association and Anne Arundel Bar Association and is active in the ADR, business, and estate sections. He also is involved in the work of the Maryland Volunteer Lawyer Service, and the Attorney Grievance Commission's Peer Review Panels.
