From May 2011 to April 2017, Barney managed the Janus Fund (JAGRX), an approximately 8 billion dollar diversified large cap growth fund. From 2006 until being promoted to run the Janus Fund in May 2011, Barney managed the Janus Global Technology Fund (JAGTX), then an approximately 1.5 billion dollar fund. He also served as Assistant Director of Equity Research from 2019 to 2013. Barney's experience prior to joining Janus includes working as an analyst at Lincoln Equity Management, American Century and Putnam Investments. On four separate occasions, he has spoken at the CFA Institute's annual Valuation Techniques conference on how to value growth stocks.The primary intention of Robious Capital is to be insightful about companies undergoing material positive change, and drive superior risk adjusted returns by investing in these companies with an intelligent, risk controlled approach.
